With government moving slowly on having the country connected to the digital, Startimes Uganda, a digital pay TV, is moving ahead by connecting Ugandans who are in areas where government has not yet transited to the digital system.
The vice president and head of marketing at Startimes, Audrine Nsubuga, revealed that using this plan they have been able to have more Ugandans connected to startimes digital even when their areas are still under analogue which was phased out due to its challenges in broadcast media.
Nsubuga adds that with such innovation coupled with new and flexible pay services, they have registered an increase of 5% customer base in Uganda putting them at 70%.
It’s upon this that the company is now launching a new X-Mass promotion dubbed Wangula Obukadde where subscribers are to win over UGX.200M in cash and prizes in a period of two months starting today
