parliament’s Human Rights committee tough on interna Affairs ministry over foreigners.

 

The chairperson on human right committee of parliament Jovah Kamateka has asked   the ministry of internal affairs to ensure that every foreigner who enters Uganda is registered; to help the security follow up law breakers.  
She told media at parliament that, many of these investors enter the country illegally, when misbehave they vanish  without being traced.
Kamateka’s remarks follow the disappearance of the three Pakistan citizens accused of gang raping 23 year old Uganda girl.
She also asked   the ministry of gender labor, and social development to ensure there  mechanisms for recording informal laborers especially those who work as maids to avoid what happened to the 23 year old gang rapist victim.

She said this will  help to reduce child labour, because   many children are working in homes as maids and house boys when they should have been in schools
