President Museveni in Arusha to witness the signing of a ‘symbolizing’ agreement between the warring Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) factions

President Yoweri Museveni has today left for a one day working visit to Arusha, Tanzania to witness the signing of a ‘symbolizing’ agreement between the warring Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) factions.

The ceremony will also be witnessed by their Excellences; President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete; President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein; President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni; President of the Republic of South Africa, Jacob Zuma; President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta; President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir; Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam Desalegn and Former Vice President of South Sudan, Riek Machar.

The President was seen off at Entebbe International Airport VVIP section by the Head of Public Service John Mitala, Deputy Commander of Air Forces, Col. Charles Lutaaya and the Assistant Commissioner of Police Michael Mugabi.

He was received at the Kilimanjaro International Airport by The Hon. Jumanne Magebe Minister of Water of the Republic of Tanzania, Foreign Minister Bernanrd Mende, Deputy Minister for Communication Umi Mwalimu and Uganda’s State Minister for Regional Affairs Asuman Kiyingi.
